A printed note at the end states: "Three thousand copies of this book have been printed from linotype Baskerville by the Collegiate Press, George Banta Publishing Company, Menasha, Wisconsin. This book is printed on Winnebago Eggshell. The binding cloth is Holliston Black Novelex." The book bears a printed dedication by the author to H. P. Lovecraft, who is mentioned on the front turn-in: "Of The Web of Easter Island, read in manuscript, the late H. P. Lovecraft wrote: 'You will like this novel - especially the poetically cosmic second half, one chapter of which is a masterpiece of underground horror'." Please note that the original dust-jacket has been photographed in its modern protective archival Mylar wrapper, thereby avoiding any risk of damage through its temporary removal.
