Half title, woodcut printer's device on the title, half tone plates and illustrations. Original black cloth, the spine lettered in gilt, the dust-jacket by Frank Utpatel with the price of $5.00 unclipped, grey endpapers (some staining to the internal edges of the jacket, the lower wrapper very lightly browned). Provenance: Michael S. Killoran (bookplate). FIRST EDITION. A printed note at the end states: "Thirty-five hundred copies of this book have been rpinted by The Collegiate Press, Georges Banta Company, Inc., Menasha, Wisconsin from Linotype Garamond on Winnebago Eggshell. The binding is Holliston Black Novelex." The work includes a bibliography of Lovecraft compiled by Jack Laurence Chalker, based on his previously privately-published work of 1962.
