Half title, woodcut printer's device on the title, full-page half-tone illustrations (some light dampstaining to the upper margins). Original black cloth, the spine lettered in gilt, the dust-jacket by Virgil Finlay with the price of $3.00 unclipped (some light staining at the edges of the jacket, very short tear without loss to lower wrapper). FIRST EDITION. A printed note at the end states: "This book Marginalia was composed, printed and bound by the Collegiate Press, George Banta Publishing Company, Menasha, Wisconsin. It is composed in Linotype Caledonia and printed on White Winnebago Eggshell. The cloth is Holliston Novelex." Please note that the original dust-jacket has been photographed in its modern protective archival Mylar wrapper, thereby avoiding any risk of damage through its temporary removal.
