Half title, title printed in red and black, 12 mounted coloured plates by John Cameron, woodcut vignettes with a small woodcut illustration on the last page (the last page very lightly browned). FINELY BOUND in original full elaborate pictorial vellum gilt with a galleon in full sail on the upper cover within borders decorated with floral and foliate motifs, the galleon repeated on the spine, top edges gilt, others uncut, pictorial endpapers printed in green (some light staining to the fore-edge of the lower cover). NUMBER 61 OF 250 COPIES. A FINE COPY of the author's "unquestioned masterpiece" (Muir) which was first published, in book form, in 1883. cf.
