There is a silent eloquence
In every wild bluebell
That fills my softened heart with bliss
That words could never tell.
Extract from “The Bluebell” by Anne Bronte
Dalzell’s paintings are colourful and expressive. Her free and lively use of paint makes her work as much about mood as it is of place. They celebrate the joy of light and colour in nature as well as the shape of the landscape. She describes her paintings as a ‘snapshot’ both visually and emotionally of a place. Many of her paintings are inspired by her Norfolk home.
