Joseph Windmills (c.1640–1724)was regarded as one of the finest English clockmakers of the late 17th and early 18th centuries. He produced longcase and bracket clocks of the Restoration and early Queen Anne period, noted for their well-proportioned cases, finely engraved dials, and substantial movements.
